Football Gambling – Cowboys At Minnesota

The matchup in NFL betting on Sunday between the Dallas Cowboys and Minnesota Vikings should really be called the panic button bowl.  One of these squads will be 1-4 following this game and prepared to hit the panic button. The NFL NFL gambling lines makers really have no idea which squad it will likely be as the Minnesota Vikings are 1.5 point home favorites in this match in football bets.

Dallas Offense – It is tough to trust that the Cowboys are 1-3 with the number two offense in the NFL. But we have to remember they are coached by Wade Phillips so anything is possible when making an online bet. The Dallas Cowboys turn the ball over and commit dumb penalties and that is a result of bad coaching.

Favre and Moss – The Minnesota Vikings did pretty little until the fourth quarter last week against the Jets but then Brett Favre lit up and hit Randy Moss for a big touchdown.  The problem for the Minnesota Vikings is that Favre also made numerous errors, such as throwing an interception that concluded Minnesota’s chances of winning the competition.

The reality is that Favre has a long and fabled career, focus on the word “long”. Simply put, he’s getting old. He’s promised to retire several times, which may have only been a negotiation ploy, but at age 41, it seems increasingly more probable that it is going to occur soon. The Vikings paid lots of money for him, but his name could now be outperforming his ability to produce.

Moss is a former Viking who played for 7 seasons with the squad before being traded to the Raiders and then to the Patriots. After 3 seasons, Moss started to feel unwanted by the squad since they weren’t offering him a contract extension, so he re-signed with the Vikings.

Vengeance?  Is there genuinely any revenge in this match from last year?  The Vikings wrecked Dallas 34-3 in the playoffs last year.  With both squads at 1-3 it is difficult to feel that revenge will play any part in this competition.

NFL Wagering Statistics – The Cowboys are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games in October. The Dallas Cowboys are 1-4 ATS in their previous five matches in total. The Minnesota Vikings are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 matches as a home favorite. The Minnesota Vikings are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 matches in October. The series trends prefer the Vikings. The fave in this series is 8-0 in NFL football betting in the last 8 meetings. The Cowboys are 0-5 ATS in their past five meetings in Minnesota.

The Undertaker – You would feel that with Dallas’ offense and Minnesota’s offense that the over could be the best option when gambling at the sports book.  You might want to look at the trends 1st. The Under is 5-0 in the Dallas Cowboys previous five road games. The Under is 11-4 in the Cowboys last 15 competitions overall. The Under is 7-1 in the Vikings last 8 competitions as a home fave. The Under is 10-4 in the Minnesota Vikings last 14 competitions overall. In this series, 5 of the last six competitions have gone under in NFL gambling.
