Child pornography is an issue that often shock many people. This is because the things done to many children nowadays are unimaginable. This topic had awakened many private groups, organizations, and individuals regarding possible penalties to those who are already caught abusing a child in any form. What is child pornography and what are the punishments for offenders?

 

Under the law, the case include any picture, video, film, photography, computer generated pictures that often involves a minor on any explicit sexual conduct. Even those who have possessions of videos, pictures of explicit things that involves a child, as well as the producers and distributor are penalized under the law. When we say sexually explicit conduct, this scenario includes any lascivious exhibition of their genitals, masochistic abuse, masturbation, bestiality, anal and oral genital, and all other simulated intercourse.

 

Under the child pornography law, every one under the age of 18 is covered. It is a federal crime because of the distribution, manufacture and possession of an illegal video which contain child pornography. Kids are often subject to such unlawful act, why is that so? This question can be answered easily. The most common reason is sexual gratification and fantasy among adult viewers. Second reason is that viewers tend to look for fresher and younger faces. The third and fourth reason is curiosity and profit.

 

Who forced the child into pornography? Relatives and friends, or even their neighbors have a big influence on this situation. A child’s mind can be easily corrupted, and that is why many people around them take advantage of their weakness. Child pornography results in many things. A happy and normal life is being removed from the children’s rights when they are involved in child pornography. They became a victim of a cruel society. The result is that they exclude themselves from the real world.

 

The penalties associated with child pornography are extremely heavy. Incarceration, mandatory lifetime enrollment in a sex offender registry, heavy fines, mandatory psychological treatment, and imprisonment are just some of the fines. State prosecutors are eager enough to protect the welfare of every victim.
